As of today those 3 APRS balloons launched in the UK are still flying after
more than 3 weeks!

Amazing.. One of them over alaska has gone round the world more than 1.5
times, the other two are over Japan and approaching 1.5 orbits.

I'm amazed more of the Ham web sites have not picked up on this. Especially
ARRL/QST!

Does anyone know anything about the balloon type, payload design, etc for these
flights?

Very interesting Bob, but I'm a little doubtful about the temperatures.
Looking at aprs.fi just now (12:20 UTC):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
M0XER-3 over South Korea is at almost 42000 feet, yet the temperature
registers as 10.700C.
M0XER-4 over Alaska is at almost 40000 feet, and the temperature seems
more reasonable at -41.000C. But *exactly* .000C? Hmmm.
M0XER-6 over NW Canada is at almost 44000 feet, where the temperate is
reported at 19.500C.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did I miss something obvious here?
