Zoom all the way out to get the whole view.
The large gap in data is I-86 in South Central NY State, not a digi to be had despite manually sending atop
hills along the way. I never heard any activity or saw the S-meter move in that area.

Good point, Kriss; mobile stations setting a path of only one digipeater hop
is enough to serve most of their "actually-interested audience members."
In mountainous California, only WIDE1-1 is a better path choice than only
WIDE2-1 because so many of our high elevation digipeaters are now setup as
"WIDE1-1 only" digipeaters (which are heard by a IGate).

Thanks for the link, it's interesting to see that.

I plan to move the K3XY-4 digi to a new hilltop tower at 2100 ft AMSL later
this year, which is about 20 miles SE of the present site. This should
help fill the I-86 gap on either side of Hornell, NY.
