Hi All,

I am having a problem in setting the filter on a T2 server when
I log in, I have tried all sorts of combinations and I just can not make
it work, this is what I have :

I am using sydney.arps2.net

r/-44/171/500 p/ZL/ZM/ZK

It is the 500 km setting that does not appear to work for me.

The Xastir version is V2.0.1 running on Ubuntu 10.04.4

What am I missing ???

I still see stations far in excess of the 500 km setting.

Is that url a typo or do you really have sydney.arps instead of aprs?

The filter below is asking for all stations within 500 km of the
coordinate given AND ALSO INCLUDE all stations starting with ZL, ZM, or
ZK. I suspect if you look, all of the further-away stations start with
one of those prefixes.

APRS-IS filters are OR'd together, not AND'd. There is a negate
capability which makes the negated term an AND NOT, but there is no AND
ONLY capability in the base APRS-IS filter specification.

Hi Lynn,

Thank you for your answer, I have tried that without any
joy, looks like I have come up with one of those unanswerable questions,
Hi Hi.
